Hi! I'm Melissa, the heart behind Scout's House Pet Nutrition, which was named after my very first childhood dog, a black lab named Scout. He was the beginning of my love for animals. He was the kind of dog that teaches you loyalty, joy, and responsibility before you even realize you're learning it. From Scout, to every dog I have loved since, and the ones I am blessed to have now, one thing has always stayed the same. I just want to take care of them the best way I know how.

That desire led me to years of hands on experience. I have volunteered with animals shelters, worked at dog daycares, studied pet nutrition and started my own dog sitting business in Naples, FL. Being trusted with other people's dogs only deepened my commitment to doing things the right way, with care, patience, and intention. It also led me to graduate from UCF with a degree in Business so I could one day build something meaningful and lasting. Not just a product, but a purpose.

Scout's House Pet Nutrition was born out of a simple belief. What we give our dogs everyday matters. Not just for right now, but for the years ahead and for the generations that follow. I have always been drawn to a more thoughtful, intentional way of living. The kind that values quality over convenience, tradition over trends, and care over shortcuts. That philosophy naturally found its way into how I create treats. Our dogs trust us with their health, comfort, and joy. I take that very seriously.

Every treat is made with a purpose. Clean, natural ingredients, gentle on digestion and crafted to support long term health. No unnecessary fillers or gimmicks. Just honest treats made the way they should be. To me, this business isn't about mass production or chasing the latest craze. It's about slowing down, doing things right, and building something that feels like home. Dependable, nurturing, and rooted in care. My hope is that these treats don’t just make tails wag today, but help dogs live happier, healthier, long lives that they deserve.
